Subur was born in Sitges, but works with all of Catalunya in mind. It exists because of one very simple idea: small businesses also deserve a well-made website, a solid architecture and genuinely direct contact.
The founder
Hi, I'm Mario.
I'm from Sitges, and I created Subur because I kept seeing the same pattern: small businesses and self-employed people paying for slow websites, recycled templates and maintenance that only existed to cover up a weak architecture from day one.
Now I see a new version of the same problem: many apparently modern websites made for speed rather than quality, thanks to AI. Today, we call it AI Slop. AI can undoubtedly help us move faster as developers; the problem starts when automation without human judgement is sold as professional work.
For years, websites were made almost by hand, with people writing code for hours. They were often ugly, yes, but one person was responsible for every decision. Then CMS platforms such as WordPress arrived and made website creation far more accessible, to the point that most agencies offering these services today do not have a technical profile.
On the other hand, they also normalised layer upon layer of complexity and dependencies that require constant maintenance. Now we have the opportunity to keep the best of both worlds: writing code with modern tools without giving up a person who reviews the result and takes responsibility for it.
That is why I am more interested in building you a website that brings in customers and represents you well for many years than one that merely lets you say you have a website. One that does not cause headaches or need rebuilding shortly afterwards.
